| The Contact Point in Macao of the Portuguese Enterprise Europe Network
The Contact Point in Macao is transformed from the Euro-Info Centre, Macao which was set up in 1992 upon the recommendations of the Macau Government and under the auspices of the European Community. The Macao division is now a contact point of the Enterprise Europe Network hosted by the Instituto de Apoio às Pequenas e Médias Empresas e à Inovação (IAPMEI) in Lisbon of Portugal. The office is jointly managed by the Institute of European Studies of Macau (IEEM), the Macao Trade & Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), Banco Nacional Ultramarino, Macau (BNU) and IAPMEI in Lisbon of Portugal.
The Contact Point in Macao is committed to serving the SMEs in Macao, China and other Asian countries or regions. Our main objectives are:
- Raising awareness and giving advice on EU legislation, standards and policies;
- Accessing EU programs, projects and funding;
- Providing an internet platform for cross-border cooperation;
- Organizing business cooperation among SMEs;
- Promoting innovation and research;
- Encouraging SMEs to go international;
- Providing feedback from companies to European Commission.
